Yürüyorum Beyoğlu’nda. Kaygısız, mutlu. Sonra düşüncelere dalıyorum. İçimi huzursuzluk kaplıyor. Neden diyorum neden bu his? Halbuki, her an tarihin içinde hissettiğim en önemli şehirlerden biri İstanbul ve onun en güzel semti Beyoğlu’nda yürüyorum. Hislerime anlam veremiyorum. “Her taşı her semti ayrı bir hikayeyle bana bakıyor, bir şeyler söylüyor.” diye söyleniyorum. Gözlerimdeki ışıltı, yüzümdeki gülümsemeyle, biraz da böbürlenerek o tarihe bakıp ekliyorum: “Ne kadar şanslıyız.” Halbuki öyle mi? Şanslı mıyız? Sahi biz tarihin içinde yaşarken nasıl oldu da tarihi sadece hissetmeye “mecbur” bırakıldık?
